Yangon, formally known as “Rangoon” is the main gate way to Myanmar (Burma). It is former capital but it is still the largest, the most populated city in the country with a population of over 5 million people and remaining as major commercial hub.
It is a mixture of modern building, colonial monuments, glistening temples and green parks and natural lakes. The national land mark of Myanmar (Burma), wonderful Shwedagon pagoda is situated in Yangon. Among the modern buildings and colonial buildings in downtown Yangon, you can still find the colorful people such as food, book and betel nut vendors on the streets, colorful street markets, Buddhist temples, churches, Chinese temples and mosques. As well as you can still find the ladies and gentlemen who wears Myanmar traditional costumes even in modern city Yangon.
